How much sugar is in this?
Is it healthy for me?
Do I gain any nutrients from cereal or would I be better with toast and avocado?
Well let me give you a little help.
Cereals are high in sugar and yes are bad for you, but that all depends on which ones you buy.
If you stem towards cereal that are coated in chocolate and sugar, such as frosted cereals, then yes these should only be eaten occasionally when curbing a craving or when you really fancy it.
But not all cereals are bad for you!
What about museli or granola? When choosing, go for the lighter ranges and your can't go wrong. These types of cereals have everything going for them.
There's oats, which slowly release energy throughout the day, saving you until lunch or maybe even further.
There's raisins and dried fruits, depending on which ones you choose, which are great for curbing cravings as they give you that sweet zingy to your tastebuds, giving you that sugar buzz, evidently making you feel happier.
Alpen light, Swiss style is a great one to choose.
Or if you don't like cereals such as museli or granola, then go for something such as cheerios, which are a source of calcium, have 9 vitamins and minerals, are made with 5 whole grains, are high in fibre and DON'T have any artificial colours or flavours.
Now what is guilty about that?
Why not find out some other cereals that are healthy for you within a balanced diet and let me know. I'll try them and post them on here to let others know about them too!
Enjoy your bowl of cereal today!
