Gym

So I joined the BH live gym today.

I think it was well over time and I kept getting ill from walking to and from work in freezing conditions, especially when it was raining.

So a new week and a new start. Why not!

I had my first gym session today. Signed myself up and took the plunge.

I have to say that I am quite impressed.
I went to Stokewood, Winton, today, but I could have chosen from 5 different places to go to;
- Littledown Centre, Castle Lane, Bournemouth.
- Sir David English, East Way, Bournemouth.
- Stokewood, Winton.
- Pelhams, Kinson.
- BH Live active, Queens Park.

Now I'm no gym expert, but that is a superb selection of centres to choose from and covers a lot of ground. It lets me go to the gym on the way home from work, when meeting up with family and even after a day of shopping or stress. They are fully reachable from many destinations.

Stokewood is a lovely little Centre, quite small, but very comforting and cosy. It had everything I needed to complete a great workout, topped off with a refreshing swim.


I, personally am more attracted to cardiovascular exercise that gets your body moving and your heart rate up. So the cross trainers and running machines present were perfect.
They were top of the range, where you could plug your earphones into the monitor and listen to tv channels, music channels or ESPN. Whatever takes your fancy...... or if your not much of a to lover, then you can watch yourself run/cycle/walk over the French alps, scenic mountains in New Zealand or explore the forest and other scenes available, including the river Seine in Paris. (You can even get a glimpse of the Eiffel Tower. What a treat!)




If your more into your weights then there is plenty on offer, even more so at the other gyms, of what I have found out through word of mouth. I will find out sooner or later though, as I will be trying most of them within the coming weeks.

........ oh, and make sure you wipe down your equipment after your perfect workout!
